Natural awakening and early upgrades
- Accumulate combat experience from fighting, blocks and perfect blocks.
- Get knocked and recover without being gripped to trigger the natural awakening when eligible.
- Use Byakugan and continue combat training. Visit the Hyuga Elder reached from The Expanse and ask about your eyes.
- Repeat the training and elder check for stages 2, 3 and 4. Keep Sin low enough for the elder to speak.

How much training?
The 2024 guide estimates roughly 25 player perfect blocks and ten activations per upgrade. These are rough training targets, not exact XP formulas. Its Stage 4 ending is historical: Stage 5 has a separate route.

Other bloodlines
Implanted Byakugan and Otsutsuki are documented through Stage 3 in the older route; it does not establish Stage 5 eligibility for other clans.
